In April, we welcomed Giorgio Vasta at the University of Lille in the seminar "Democracy in Italy" that I organize with Mélanie Traversier. This text is inspired by my discussions in that area, with the same Vasta, Pierandrea Amato, Gabriele Della Morte, Fanny Eouzan, Stefano Savona, Mélanie Traversier and students attending the seminar
Italy, 70. Disappearance of fireflies, murder of Aldo Moro. And what do the children in this world gone terribly dark, or better, rue de rennes so blinding lights (those of television, those of the stages of major events, rue de rennes the Argentine World Cup '78, those of the windows of shopping centers) from the cloud view? The children, who were children at the time, and that is us today, forty a bit 'lost in this intricate and dramatic situation, which they call a "crisis". rue de rennes The time material Giorgio Vasta (minimum fax, 2008) apart, perhaps, from an attempt to answer this question. Part of that is from an article by Pasolini which denounced the disappearance of fireflies ("Corriere della Sera", February 1, 1975), namely the emergence of a new fascism, a fascism rue de rennes more dangerous than historical because, in contrast to this, it is failed to approve the conscience, to destroy languages, cultures and peoples. The energy of Montedison, ENI has spawned a new era, in which the only light pollution apparently rue de rennes has actually done away with not only the fireflies, but the human being himself. Georges Didi-Huberman has recently returned to this article and it has highlighted the historical and philosophical implications for our present: the disappearance of fireflies coincide with the end of the possibility of the transformation of the existing rue de rennes (Like fireflies, Branded Basic Books, 2010 ). The article of fireflies Pasolini, however, had a different title at the origin rue de rennes ("The vacuum rue de rennes of power") which meant an acknowledgment of a paradigm shift in the "Palace." Had crumbled the old system of power that dominated the clerical-fascist Italy has always been at the same time we started to fray even that block of counter-power rue de rennes that opposed it dialectically unified by a general spirit of the anti-fascist (which could be liberal , Catholic, communist and socialist). Against those who feared a return of the old fascism, Pasolini instead of one already saw the emergence rue de rennes of new forms of power, most secret because most liquid and widely used, because even broader transnational, perhaps less violent, but much more pervasive. And then the "Palace" began to be evacuated, emptied of the old, usual figures ... The old anti-fascism that, although rue de rennes he had written glorious pages in the 70's, and a fortiori us today, is unable to read this "empty", this spectral power; and then blocked and unable overtaken by events. In fact, after the '' horde now struggling to emerge on a large scale controcondotta of new forms of resistance. To make the cost of this sea change rue de rennes are the same men of power. A few years after the article by Pasolini, Aldo Moro will be killed.
Aldo Moro Aldo Moro language was, according to Pasolini, a new language for the new era. Moro was a hierarch, like other leaders Democrats, however, that "for an enigmatic relationship" was "the least involved of all the horrible things that have been organized from 69 to now." And also the most up to, right from the linguistic point of view, to mark the transition to the new phase of history, that of the disappearance of fireflies, that the advent rue de rennes of a new type of fascism. When Sciascia reopen the Moro affair only a few months after the events of Fani part by Pasolini, from that friend rue de rennes close yet distant struggling with fireflies, with the Palace (L'affaire Moro, Sellerio, 1978). Sciascia, dazzling in the opening pages of his book, walking, after Pasolini, Pasolini, in search of fireflies to discover, then, that enigmatic correlation was, in fact, a contradiction (a contradiction between Moro and the other leaders DC) and it is for this reason that the correlation will not be more enigmatic, but becomes Sciascia "tragic." Moro was killed because, despite being a hierarch, is different from the others, is in fact only just stayed rue de rennes in the palace, while others have moved into those secret corridors of power newer, larger and more secure. The book on Moro Sciascia, as noted Belpoliti (Septuagint, Cambridge University Press, rue de rennes new edition 2010), is not an investigation. A Sciascia not want to know why and how both Moro
