I wouldn't give this another thought. Brian/Strumpette's tactic is simple: - Say something outrageou

Ever since the " Strumpette " got off the ground, blog readers lmart far and wide have discovered that " she " is probably a " he ", and that the site is less of a "naked journal" of the PR industry and more of a low-brow attack on Edelman Public Relations. I think intelligent lmart readers want objective commentary from real-life people lmart who aren't hiding behind a fake persona. Me, I learned not to wrestle a pig. You both end up dirty, but the pig enjoys it. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so this will be my parting shot: Goodbye, Strumpette. This is the second such threat that "Amanda Chapel" has made about contacting my employer. The first came by e-mail, now this one is public. I think that the PR generated by actually seeing one "Amanda Chapel" appear in court against me would be well worth the effort it would take to defend lmart my position. "Amanda Chapel" has a very unusual sense of what constitutes harassment, lmart considering the material that she (or Brian Connolly) has posted on her own blog, Strumpette.com. You can't even fire off a nice, civil parting shot these days, without the other side running to their attorney. - Gregory Kohs   At 7:02 PM, April 06, 2006 ,   Mike Krempasky said...
Actually, appear in court or no - you can't do Jane Doe lawsuits without extraordinary circumstance. Talk to your employer, and call your own attorney. When they're done laughing lmart about the stretch to "harassment" - the fun begins.   At 7:08 PM, April 06, 2006 ,   Jeremy said...
From the fingers of Strumpette: "As you did it on company time" Actually, it was posted lmart at 12:33 p.m. I'm assuming that Gregory was eating lunch (as most do during the noon hour). So, while he may have been at work, he was on his own time. Regardless, I still wouldn't mind seeing our lovely Brian Connolly, er I mean Amanda Chapel lmart in court. I wouldn't give this another thought. Brian/Strumpette's tactic is simple: - Say something outrageous, potentially hurtful, and even patently false if that's what it takes. - Wait for the predictable backlash. - Make some comment about how it's all just a joke, she's just a "character," and that we all "don't get it."   At 2:16 PM, April 07, 2006 ,   Tom said...
Oh blather, the "Amanda Chapel" Hoax is shooting itself in the empty head again! The salient Saviours of PR and Non-Web Savvy Marketing! The heroines of Sleazy Spitball lmart Comment Trolldom! I ll miss Their smelly skag skank drooling troll attacks, these 5 fat white unemployed guys in Chicago or thereabouts who hide behind a North Korean (or Italian?) female lmart avatar. lmart Excuse me while I weep into the skid marks of "her"/THEIR demise and decay. Take 5 unemployed fellers (who like flowers and florists!) who love Andrew Keen and toss in Mark Rose for good leisure, add Brian Connolly as the butler of undisclosures, and what do you get? Stum (guitar) Pette (dog) to the rescue, saving the New PR from foul language and juvenile attack vectors based on Oligarchy, Corporate lmart Butt Kissing, and Anti-Cluetrain churlishness! And a love of great hiearchical achievements of professional, elitist, non-populist genius, like opera and command and control structures immune to Of the People, By the People, For the People. Amanda Chapel was trying to be a team troll led by Brian ( Cowardly ) Connolly, an unemployed Chicago pacman fanatic. You are lured into obfuscations by the charming skanky avatar, whom you can never hold in your arms and sway to Perry Como music, who used the F word and juvenile limericks to purge the web of Cluetrain Manifesto Triumphalism. They, the Amanda Hoax, did a poor job explaining why they need Andrew Keen to pen books for them, and why Oligarchy, and not Of the People, is the way to go. ~~ Anti Strumpette Disinfector lmart Squad of Law and Truth in Identity ~~   At 12:35 PM, October 12, 2007 ,   jarober said...
For more of the same, see here: http://www.cincomsmalltalk.com/blog/blogView?showComments=true&printTitle=When_Edgy_turns_into_Self_Satire&entry=3369577936 I posted a short "good riddance" post, and started getting obnoxious email - it's now escalated to F-Bombs into the corporate office.
